ASV Work

As our commentary is moving forward, we have decided to use a more literal translation of the Bible. Since there are not many Bible translations in the public domain we prayerfully decided to work with the ASV Bible translation which is in the public domain. Currently we are working through the chapters of Matthew to update the ASV Bible text to a readable contemporary English content. However, our goal is to create a Bible helping text for our commentary that will preserve the respect and adoration that our Lord should have. Since in the current English vocabulary it is difficult to do that we decided to keep some of the archaic rendering of pronouns and verbs when referencing to the Lord. On the same line, we decided to capitalize and bold all pronouns and names that refer to the Lord.

Today we finalized all the chapters comments for the Gospel of Matthew and we are thankful to the Lord for giving us these comments and helping us to accomplish this work. It was a long and hard work. We have faith that the Lord will open the eyes and the ears of those that read this commentary and increase their faith. The next step for us now is to prepare an introduction to the Gospel of Matthew and write about Matthew the apostle and how this gospel came to light and also capture the purpose of the gospel. Then we will pray and ask the Lord’s direction for the next book to study.
