Romans 3
Summary. In this chapter, the Holy Spirit teaches us that God is perfect, true, and righteous, and humans, apart from His mercy, cannot understand His Word or attain righteousness. Those who reject Him fall under dark influence. God revealed His righteousness through the Law, the Prophets, and ultimately through His Son, Jesus Christ, in whom alone is found redemption for all humanity. Romans 3:1-4. God’s Word is true, His actions are just, and there is no unrighteousness in Him at all. Romans 3:5-13. Without asking for the Lord’s mercy, humans cannot understand His Word or become righteous. The Lord God Almighty created humans, but it is written that from the beginning of creation, none are without sin. When sin occupies their hearts, the punishment from God will also happen, regardless of who they are. However, if any heart has taken the Savior, the Lord Jesus, as their guide, it will lead their soul out from punishment. Romans 3:14-19. The heart and mind that have rejected the Lord God Almighty make that heart turn and receive the influence from the dark. The path of that person will be among the dark, and thorns will pierce through their souls. The beloved Son of God, in His mercy and love, has peace for all who seek and accept Him. Romans 3:20-22. The righteousness of God has been revealed to humans. He sent not only His Law and the Prophets, but He also sent His own Son to point the way for humans. Romans 3:23-31. The redemption for all humankind is found only in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. With great love and mercy, the Lord God Almighty has sent His beloved Son to be the bridge for all humans. He offered Himself as an atonement for the sins of the world.

The Lord God Almighty has chosen a group of humans to be His children. And the Lord God Almighty also appointed them to be the law keepers for humans. They are selected to be special workers, and some of them will be chosen to have special duties, which will bring the announcement of the Savior for humans, and the Lord God Almighty will give details to His chosen to announce the details of the blessing.

But, when the mind has doubts, that mind will turn to disagree and believe that the teaching which is written is wrong and should not be followed. When someone disbelieves the Holy Word, that person has put the Lord God Almighty as a liar, not the true God.
“That Thou may be justified in Thy words.” The Lord God Almighty, the Most Holy God, is God above all things, seen and unseen. His Word is true, His action is just, there is no unrighteousness in Him at all. Let all that have breath come and praise the Lord God Almighty. Praise the Lord God Almighty with sincere hearts, not just the minds or actions alone.
“And Thou may conquer in being judged.” In the righteousness of the Lord God Almighty, He has conquered all things. The dark and their dominion have no power to stand, not just in front of the Lord God Almighty but in front of His Holy Word; none has the power to stand against. However, if our unrighteousness commends God's righteousness, what shall we say? God 's unrighteousness brings upon wrath. I speak according to man.

“God’s unrighteousness brings upon wrath. ...” The apostle’s mind is also a human mind, but the Lord has given the word to the apostle, which doesn’t make the apostle above humans. Whoever reads the Holy Word and gains understanding, do not think that because you understand and have knowledge, you are equal to the Lord God Almighty.

Never may it be! For then how will God judge the world?

However, if the truth of God in my lie abounded to H is glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

“Why am I also still judged as a sinner?” If the Word of God that has been spoken is not true, why does everyone accuse the person who speaks of committing the sin and doing wrong by following the Word that has been received? In this place, people have put the Lord God Almighty, teaching people to lie and commit sin. Then the guilt is not on the person but on the Lord’s teachings themselves.

“And not (as we are slanderously ...” Some have accused the apostle of teaching lies and not good things to follow. They have also accused that the Lord God Almighty taught His own apostle to commit sin. By accusing the apostle of receiving the wrong teachings, that also, at the same time, accuses the Lord God Almighty of teaching His apostle to be a liar. The dark influence in the human mind is at work. And wherever the Word of the Lord God Almighty has been spoken, the dark influence also is at work in order to make people not believe the Lord God Almighty and make people not be saved.
“Let us do evil things, that ...” The Lord God Almighty reminds humans again that if His apostle teaches evil things, then let that evil win over the Word of the Lord God Almighty Himself. The apostle is an apostle of the Lord God Almighty; the Word he received cannot be an evil Word. Give attention, do not fall into the trap of evil. The Lord God Almighty is the Lord of good; there is no evil in Him. If you want to be saved, your soul needs to come and accept the righteousness of the Lord God Almighty’s teaching. But they themselves, as humans, did not obey all the commandments. However, the Lord God Almighty still punishes them according to the sins they have committed. When they commit sin, the punishment is even harder than the rest.
“For we have already charged both ...” The verse clearly tells all humans: in the eyes of the Lord God Almighty, all humans commit sin. When sin occupies their hearts, the punishment will also happen, regardless of who they are.

In the Holy Word, it has been written from the beginning of creation that none are without sin. Humans are born out of sin. The sinful nature of humans has power over their thoughts. But those who have given their hearts to be under the commandments and follow the teachings of the Lord, through that heart, forgiveness has been provided. If that heart has taken the Savior, the Lord Jesus, as their guide, it will lead their soul out from punishment.

The Lord God Almighty is calling them to be His own people, but they have left their hearts to turn astray by the influence of the dark. The power and the work of the Lord God Almighty have been shown to their eyes and ears, but even that their hearts still do not seek for Him. The Lord God Almighty becomes empty, no meaning for their hearts and minds.

The sadness in the heart of the Lord God Almighty is so great, and that sadness will make Him turn away in helping them when the time of trouble has come. And they will call out for help from the Lord God Almighty, and He will ignore their call. But those who have taken refuge in the Savior, the Lord Jesus, will receive comfort from God the Father Himself.

“Their throat is an open tomb ...” Cited from Psalm 5:9, Jeremiah 5:16. All humans, watch out! The warning is here! Without the Lord God Almighty in your soul, your mouth is so filthy and dirty, and your tongue has the movement of a certain serpent when ready to strike. The Lord God Almighty created you in His own likeness. So, use what you have been created for to glorify the Creator. When your soul has ignored the voice of the Lord God Almighty, the darkness will use your body to destroy yourself, and at the same time will blaspheme against the Lord God Almighty, which will bring a curse upon yourself.

The insults and bad words are not for your lips to move for speaking out. Use your lips in praising the Lord God Almighty. Humans need to control their mouths when speaking; all should speak to glorify the Lord, not to justify only their own judgment.

“Whom God set forth as a propitiation ...” Humans have condemned the sinless Lamb of God, but there is no human like Him born without sin and continuing to live without sin. The Lord God Almighty has seen the purest blood in His beloved Son, who gave Himself as an offering to please the Father. Humans receive forgiveness through His blood. The Lord God Almighty is pleased to see the purest blood that has been offered for the sins of the world.
“For a showing forth of His righteousness ...” From the beginning of creation, sin has been committed continually, and the offerings humans have presented are incomplete. But with the last offering which has been presented by His beloved Son, the Lord God Almighty has peace with it, and in His Son’s name He gives forgiveness for all humans. The righteous sacrifice of the Son of God is worth more than a thousand lambs and gold offerings.

Where is the boasting? Was it shut out by what law? That of works? No, but through the law of faith.

Or follow the guidance of the Lord God Almighty, which will lead human souls to heaven to the kingdom of peace and joy. Humans should think carefully about the choices they have. The Lord God Almighty also gives you all the freedom to choose.
“That of works? No, ...” Humans can do good works by the law of humans all their lives, but they lead their souls to hell. Or follow the guidance of the Lord God Almighty, which will lead human souls to heaven to the kingdom of peace and joy. Humans should think carefully about the choices they have. The Lord God Almighty also gives you all the freedom to choose.

We reckon, therefore, a man to be justified by faith, apart from the works of the law.

“Yes, of Gentiles also, since indeed God is One.” The rest of humans, whom the Lord God Almighty did not choose to be called His own, the Lord God Almighty has also created; they are His creation, as His own people are. There is only one God for all humans: the Lord God Almighty (God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit). He is the only One who created all things.

Do we then nullify the law through faith? God forbid! Instead, we uphold the law.

“Do we then nullify the law ...” The verse clearly tells us that humans have confusion between the law of humans and the law of God. You cannot completely follow the law of God while not following human law, because if you ignore human law, the law of God becomes bad in the eyes of humans. Let all believers notice that many passages in the Bible tell us to obey human law if it is not against the law of God. When human law goes against the law of God, that human law becomes blasphemy. The believer should avoid conflicting with that law. But not following that law does not mean going against it. When the action of not following, the humans will get the meaning that you are against it. The Lord wants believers to live peacefully with the world by not following human law, but don’t go and accuse them of being wrong. Instead, always telling people that, as believers, the law of the Lord comes first.
“God forbid! Instead, we ...” The Lord God Almighty is the Lord above all, even above human law. But the teaching of the Holy Bible also tells believers to follow the law of the land where they live, but not to do anything against the law of God that has also been given.
